Kids' Fishing Opportunities ...
Art Along the Willow

Sunday, June 7, 2015

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Stroll through the park and see over 40 booths of many fine arts and crafts. Muscial groups will provide free entertainment. A special craft tent will be available for children. The Friends plan to have the only food concession stand.

Exhibitors may register and pay your non-refundable booth fee of $40 per 12' x 12' booth at www.aaw.eventzilla.net by May 1. After May 1, the fee increases by $10.00 per booth. You may buy no more than two booths. Booth locations will be pre-assigned. After you register and pay, you will be e-mailed a confirmation. Vendors will receive a lunch coupon. 

Sales are scheduled from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm. 

June 7, 2015 is the Wisconsin State Parks Open House, so there is no fee for anyone to enter the park.

Trail Challenge

Watch for the 2015 date

Run along a beautiful and challenging course. The run starts at the beach and goes through the woods and prairies on park trails. Free admission to the park. There is an entry fee for the run. Please see our Trail Challenge page for more information. 


Candlelight Ski

Watch for 2016 date

6-8:30 p.m.



Ski our beautiful groomed trails by candlelight. Enjoy a bonfire and some warm refreshments by the Nature Center.

Get Outdoors (GO) Days Year-Round

Fun for the entire family! 

Come to the Nature Center between to experience a fun and spooky evening. The event is FREE and there will be games, crafts, snacks, storytelling, and more for the family to enjoy. If you’d like to help out with this fun event, please contact Melissa at the Nature Center, 715-386-9340 or at <willowrivernaturecenter@gmail.com>. 

These are special activity days where you can try your hand at snowshoeing ... see what animal tracks you can find during the winter, try fish casting, talk about certain animals and explore other activities that are set-up. See what is occurring at the park all year round. For our winter snowshoe days some snowshoes are provided free of charge for these events. If you need a pair, please register with the Nature Center at willowrivernaturecenter@gmail.com or at 715.386.9340.
